For years, the Heart Control has been the companion of the mono block models of the Heart amplifier range. When introduced, the Control was a passive preamp, with no amplification whatsoever. After a few years, it was recognised that, to be truly versatile and worthwhile, the Control would need a form of amplification and impedance conversion. This was incorporated into the Control in 2000. A nice-sounding 6DJ8 tube stage was fitted below the hood. The Control mkII offers remote control for volume and 5 line-level inputs. The tube stage has put the Control back into the present day. Internally, it is a fully modernised, while at the same time keeping its classic Heart looks. |
